There's a mad angle to this. I have read that Ukraine was the site of some of the worst and most widespread pogroms against jews - and then under USSR/Stalin the vast majority of the secret police, who absolutely terrorised Ukraine, were jewish.

Fast forward to the 2014 maidan coup, orchestrated by USA, and the factions that actually made it happen were neo nazi paramilitaries - eg Azov battalion.
