the one stop shop for everything isn’t quite working. what did it for me was wasting an hour weeding through the shit on netflix. that was all it took.

i discover new music from the audiophiles in my life and suggested films from people i trust who know my taste. i still don’t pay for any of it. same way with books. the library is my friend. i do buy the books that i will likely reread to support the authors esp if it’s a good series.

are these the “mom and pop” music and video stores you speak of in america?

Yep in LA specifically though I’ve seen it elsewhere. I think people are just getting tired of being fed stuff by internet randos and looking to get back to real interactions.

As a musician I kinda hope you are paying for the music you like :)

i am more inclined to pay for good music or show than films. so ya, i can be convinced. lol
