We have multiple legal restrictions on freedom of speech in countries in the European Union.

There are:

- Blasphemy laws.

- Laws against hate speech, even when it doesn't consists in real threats or incitement to violence.

- Laws against flag desecration.

- Laws against vilification or contempt towards certain entities or authorities.

The list goes on.

Obviously, specific laws will change by country.

Although we are better off than much of the world, there is still a lot to achieve when it comes to freedom of speech.

Do we have organizations which consistently and unapologetically stand and advocate for freedom of speech in Europe / the EU?
