"Representation" is a con, if you have no enforcement mechanism that that representation is accurate to what it represents.

Representative democracy was always a compromise due to the fact we didn't have th technology and infrastructure to communicate fast and accurately enough for grand scale policy.

That is no longer the case, making representation obsolete.
