Two things ive been struggling with regarding nostr over the past few days...

1. Is there a way to find out what relays an npub writes to?

2. Some npubs write events to well known relays that I see in Amethyst, but im not seeing those events when I try to read from those relays via another client/library. Is Amethyst doing something magical?

Maybe you have Nostr.band as one of your read relays & since nostr.band tends to aggregate from a lot of relays you're seeing their posts?

On nostr.band site, you can see which relays a note was read from (on any note, Menu, View relays). So you can check 2-3 notes of people you wish to read from & which relays it's been written to.
