I have only named one inanimate object. Doing that kinda weirds me out.
But plants aren’t inanimate they are conscious living things, they probably would love a name but wouldn’t want to offend them 😂
You're correct in that plants aren't inanimate, but, I can't agree that they are conscious, at least not the way humans are. IMO. You might disagree. (And I'm cool with that. 😁)

If I take that on face value... IF... That's fascinating. But... I'm not sure I can take that on face value, or if I even should. While I am actively challenging many of the misapprehensions foisted on us since the modern and especially post-modern movements shaped our current state of affairs, I don't think it's going to be possible for me to regard plants as what I (admittedly poorly) understand conscious beings are. But, thank you for sharing since I've learned new things already! That is rather fun in and off itself. 😁
It’s a new perspective to think about anyway and that’s what I enjoy considering all the what ifs and could be’s of this planet we call home. Not sure we will ever know to the full extent of the intelligence of all life forms around us. Mycelium blew my mind and how it connects with mothering trees like a telephone lines to pass on information of what their saplings need. It’s all fun as you said and we can’t take everything too seriously, I like to think everything is a possibility 😊
Yup.
I like the mental exercise of encountering, observing, learning, and challenging new ideas.
I'm just not sure I'm open minded enough to take plant consciousness very seriously.
