I don't expect it to be perfect. I just have problems when people claim that it is, and cannot be improved, and that there are no other alternatives. This is clearly not true. If the world decides that it should be used as a medium of exchange, and a STABLE store of value then I will be happy to adopt it. But there is definitely no guarantee and lots of other ideas which may well prove to be better. No one can predict the future. Its not just technology as much as macro economics, human psychology etc etc.

It may be all of the above, but this is a zero sum game. Bitcoin either replaces the incumbent money or it doesn’t. There won’t be a single altcoin (and I am being generous with my word choice) that succeeds it either way.

This is NOT a zero sum game. That is an oversimplification which doesn't conform to reality. For example it could be used in a basket of currencies as a world reserve currency which might make sense. Its about diversification, and not putting all your eggs in one basket. For thousands of years there have been many different currencies. There are many different scenarios which could play out. You have no clue what will happen to altcoins since no one can predict the future. You don't seem to believe in freedom of choice, which is autocratic. This is the OPPOSITE of freedom, or democracy.
