I have a question for the younger people in this space. I am a 55 year old man. I grew up in a different time than most of you, I am assuming. Not accusing you of this, but maybe you have an answer for me. Why does the younger generation want to be someone other than themselves?

that is a valid question.. I would like to know also.

You look old like me. 🤣

well not quite that old, you still got 10 years on me.

but that's also not me.

In today's world, I apparently can identify as a 16year old. So...🤣

it's still a minority that thinks they are something else.

but I'd say it's a trend, like bell bottoms or something like that 😂

people want to belong and then they find a group that will except them, if they dress like them.

so yeah trend.

like a skater or a punk, or whatever is out there now.

even as a babY.

Most people in my age group (20’s) are only trying to be what gets them friends, money or attention. So that means faking for a large majority of them. Thought there are those of us in this age group who are just being ourselves, you are absolutely right that it’s a minority in comparison to those faking.

Though* not thought but close enough lol

I know that it isn't all of you. You think for yourself, as far as I can tell from the interactions we have had. I am literally just confused about how the overton window has moved to a point to where the younger generation believes that reality is subjective.

Colleges and media both teach that everyone has their own truth rather than teaching the actual truth. So I would say mostly brainwashing. And the others were just stupid from the start.

I find it hard. 2+2=4, fire is hot, water is wet, and people born with a penis are male. Can you literally be brainwashed to believe that none of that is true?

I mean yeah but we are the unbrainwashable, I fully agree but I’ve kinda watched it happen, not sure how either but people that were close friends who at least mostly agreed with me on things are completely opposite now after college and it’s nearly 100% of them at this point. Brainwashers found the method that works and used it I guess.

Yeah, I guess it's not worth stressing over, I just wanted to see the answers. And, of course, #bitcoin fixes this.

I'm a decade behind ya, but I think that this has existed in all generations, now maybe more than ever.

However, to be truly authentic, you have to first know who really are, and that is life's challenge.

I guess maybe that's my problem with understanding then. It doesn't seem to be a challenge for me. And, I understand what you are saying about it existing in every generation.
