If only there were a way to remove the like button on #damus in the same way one can reinstall the #zap button.
As a matter of fact there is 😂 Enable onlyzaps in the settings. I wish every app had this setting.

I wish it worked that way too. Originally it did when Damus rolled it out a couple years ago, but people complained because they weren’t able to leave a like even though they knew the person wouldn’t see them. lol

Not like it matters much anyway. Notes are public. People might be reading you without officially following you anyway, just by either manually loading up your npub, or perhaps bookmarking your profile.
Follows are more just something to make getting back to the content you want to read easier, and letting people who follow you what things you're interested in (because they might be too!).
