I’m inclined to believe that these shootings here in the U.S. are being set up, or even done by special ops or someone mind manipulated, in order to frighten citizens to scream for guns being outlawed. The Democrats and left-wing here in the U.S. wants the population disarmed. The politicians and banking elite for control, and the average leftist citizen because they’re ignorant, frightened easily, think gov will keep them safe (as if they have their best interest) and mainly — to virtue signal.

I use the fact that other countries do not have this problem to illustrate this suspicion I have. Btw, what country are you from?

I called many places home over the years. Now based in Switzerland. I mean we have a fair amount of guns, but still less than a quarter per capital than you guys.

With the US, I always struggled to understand this 2 parties system. Especially once one looks at lobbying and see that money is injected on both sides to be sure to be on the side of the winner. The 2 party system is a perfect way to divide and conquer, at least in my eyes. Here democracy works a lil different, compromise have to be struck, the people have a louder voice.

Here w the 2 party and lobbying it’s a bit more to it, especially now as of past 5-3yrs. Enter: ESG. There couldn’t be a bigger difference between D vs R now, almost from the ground up.

A tad much to explain

They’re pushing for a 1 party system here, alright — but it’s the dems and it ain’t for the best interest that’s for sure. There won’t be any voice of the ppl if they get their ultimate way, that’s for sure. I think we’re witnessing the beginning of the end of the U.S. in some sense. I see a splitting up soon.

Will be interesting to see, for sure! Ray Dalio wrote a book on the great cycles of history recently and his conclusions point to a similar outcome: polarization within society and ultimately infighting, which will lead to the decline & collapse of entire countries.

Countries… Using mountains and rivers to divide people when mountains and rivers connect people culturally. These lines make little sense in so many places around the world. On top of it, most of these tribes are simply too big to manage effectively. Centralization becomes a necessity due to size, centralization makes corruption easier.

One of the reasons I believe Switzerland has become crypto friendly so quickly is that they have been dealing with decentralized power for hundreds of years. Does not make them immune to corruption, but somehow the process feels more inclusive of all voices.

Absolutely! And a political decision in CH always has to be acceptable to the minority as well, i.e., it mustn‘t infringe on them in any disproportionate way. In this, I think CH deviates from many democracies & ensures more inclusive outcomes.

I’ve always admired Switzerland. I wonder if it’s a highly homogeneous society or not. I think that factors into a lot of successful democracies. Hungary is similar, I think. I believe they’re doing some restructuring and striving towards homogeneity, while making all efforts to not be discriminatory.

Most cities have quite a diverse mix of nationalities/ethnies/etc. while the rural areas are often very homogenous (bordering on xenophobic). Regularly shows in the polls and can be quite a challenge for lawmakers. CH has always be a melting pot and I think this has created a special mix within society & a particular democratic system. However, the melting occurs mainly in the cities, thus exacerbating the divide… The particularities of the political systems show e.g. in the multitude of political parties and the diversity of views presented/discussed.

Gonna be blunt. To me, they’re all psycho/narcissistic parasites. It’s just that the dems are covert about it, the rep a whole lot less so. Both sides disgust me to an extent.

The rest of the world wonders… should we continue to get fucked by the US, with lube. Or should we tried the lubrication free BRICS way.

Smart and realistic Americans (I’d like to say I am one) know this about the USD. While I’d like to have my nation be strong & influential, I don’t want it bullying and subjugating others. That never lasts long. We know how bullies end up. And the dems are despicable to me, and are irredeemable. Republicans, we can clean ourselves up, which we’ve been doing (the true ones) but the long stain of the crony capitalists that reared up from Reagan policies (not saying his fault, but those changes he made were taken advantage of and we have what we saw in the Republican Party from the 80s-early 00s. There’s a resurgence of true patriotic, anti-war, anti-imperialism Republicans now. The dems are just going pure fascist/communist (I know I know, 2 different things, but they’re doing it)

ESG as in Environment, Social and Governance? Need to read more about it but happy buzz words have a tendency to scare me. (Like how can I trust a wallet that is called Trust) I got nothing against the environment, or even social projects aimed at rising everyone’s standard of living but when they are used as buzz words to push something else…

Yes that ESG. It’s anything BUT good, to speak crudely. It’s a virtue signal for the unaware (or stupid) and a way to kill true capitalism and usher in, what they even refer to as — stakeholder capitalism.

What I was saying is that one key difference between Dem and Rep today is support and praise for ESG. Republicans do not support it because it’s a killer of biz and freedom, while dems support it because it gives centralized control, and their ground level members get to virtue signal through it, unknowingly shackling themselves.

How can you kill true capitalism when it doesn’t truly exist? How can we call it capitalism when the market is not free, the rules are not the same for everyone, and the assets (FIAT) at its core are corrupted from birth.

I am a socialist, I am a capitalist, it’s just that I see both were never given a true chance.

Think of a democracy built on broadcasting, identifying and ranking needs rather than electing people. You would have selfish needs, prefect for capitalism. You need it, for yourself, you buy it for yourself. You would have common needs, social needs, where effort can be pooled. Whoever has the best and most cost effective solution to the need wins the reward allocated by society to it, by society not some power hungry look at me assholes we have elected mostly based on their words.

We have the technology for it. Give people the tools, they will provide the data. Where do you want to spend your taxes, what services do you require by society? (Btw, fuck income tax, consumption tax only)

I struggle to find the correct few words to get the idea across…
