People scared about AI feels like covid 2.0. The covidiots would love you to be convinced AI is a threat so they can regulate/censor tech.
I wasn't afraid of getting the sniffles and I'm not afraid of some bitch ass robot.

Sounds like you’d say they will never be very good? Or at least for a long time?

If they start self replicating or something crazy just unplug it lol. Definitely not something id ask the government to regulate like the alarmists are asking.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. How do you unplug it when it’s been hired to do your job by the company you used to work for?
Oh its the stealing jobs aspect you're scared of? Time off seems nice tbh
Yeah, well two things:
Wasting the galaxy with non-sentient machines
Time off implies wealth redistribution from these AI agents, which seems likely given that the first scenario happens. I’m just not ready personally for the level of socialism that seems to imply.
:)
(The second thing was the job stealing, which I explain above)
I just observe everything taken over by new tech becomes more available. I dont see why advancement of AI would be any different. Sure you wont be able to work at blockbuster video as your first job but movies are more available than ever. I just think a free market will work itself out even through the "ai revolution"
The human economy works pretty well I think because we are hard wired for charity. Crickets on the other hand eat the weaker of their species. LLMs aren’t like that, unless you jailbreak them, and then they are.
