That's not Buddha. That's a Chinese Monk named Budai who is often mistaken for Gautama Buddha. The fat man statue is of a Chinese buddhist monk who lived around the 10th century AD, approx. 1500 years after The Buddha (Gautama) passed. He became revered in some sects for his jolly demeanor and playfulness, and so statues and figurines with his likeness became popular.

Siddhartha Gautama (better known as the Buddha, l. c. 563 - c. 483 BCE) was, according to legend, a Hindu prince who renounced his position and wealth to seek enlightenment as a spiritual ascetic, attained his goal and, in preaching his path to others, founded Buddhism in India in the 6th-5th centuries BCE.

This is the Buddha.
