I know this young couple (mid 30's). They did a van life lifestyle (about 3 years). They then bought 50 acres to "settle down". They have not been in the fiat rat race for at least 15 years.
They look happy and are I suspect are bitcoiners. But ain't none of my binness. Just very different from my path.

There's a lot of work involved in being free.
Someone once said to me that their father works 20 hrs a day to be free. Not many people could do that.
True! Many of us also like our comforts and struggle to give those up.
If I was going to design my life at the beginning, it would also be my chosen path. But wasnt in the cards for me. My little one came when I was still quite young. Not a complaint, just my reality.
As such, this dude had to put earning a living ahead of pursuing the ideal life configuration.
In the end, I'm glad with how it worked out for me. So far.
