Nostr and all of its clients have a ways to go in terms of onboarding experience

I love this place, but we gotta get smoother for new adoptees. And there will be a shit ton of them in the coming days

I was thinking similarly as I was creating my account. The average person is not going to be willing to jump through so many hoops. They want simplicity so they can get to what they want to do. Linus Torvalds gave a similar sentiment when asked about which flavour of Linux he preferred.
