When my friend choose to end his l**e, he moves all his blockchain assets into a wallet and emailed his wife the private key before he left. because i was one of the few whom contacted his embassy following his demise, i was able to be in contact with his wife. the past few days she has been in contact with me and i guided her to reactivate the wallet.
my friend did a rookie mistake. He made a fresh wallet and moved the USDT without sending some ETH. As his wife has very minimal knowledge about blockchain, I decided to purchase some ETH and send to the account. Dang!!!! The minimum widhtraw fee for ETH on Binance is about 16 USD and the widhtraw fee is about 2 USD! The minimum widhtraw fee for Bitcoin is way smaller on Binance. Sigh, but for the good sake of my friend, I have to purchase it and help his widow out.
Now..waiting for the ETH to reach her account. next i am going to persuade her to just swap the USDT to BTC via fixedfloat. wish me luck!
