If you don’t want to run a webserver you can also let a GitHub project resolve to a domain you own and host the file on GitHub

otherwise, if you wanna just use someone elses site for verification you can use nostrplebs.com or nostrverified.com (free)

I see, guessing some relays already filter for verified accounts?

not sure, it’s mostly just meant to be better UX than using pub keys for finding accounts
