I believe this is Frank Knapp's legendary STOL competition winning takeoff and landing in Valdez, Alaska. Some non aviation folks may not understand this but he's basically turned his highly modified Piper taildragger into a helicopter. Who needs all that runway?

I truly dream of doing this someday in the Alps. It's part machine and part skill to pull this off. It's engine and torque on the takeoff and mostly skill on the landing. So fucking cool.
