What they don't tell you is that you can just hire mathematicians. I had to prove one of my models was correct for a paper and was having difficulty with some differential shenanigans. After wasting my time for a month trying to do everything myself, I ended up just hiring one for 2 hours of work. Best money I have ever spent.
