Been researching ways to create DIY minature ultrasound wave emitter for the 17-20 kHz range, looking for help or pointers to anything similar out there in the wilds...

I wish to build an 'inaudiable to humans' wearable ultrasound generator for protection from digital microphones and recording devices. Range 1.5-3 meters away from wearer. I have found some Arduino projects for pest-control and sonography using their board but it seems their standard ultrasound distance measuring module does not go to the right ultrasound range I am seeking for this...

Imagine having a personal ultrasound forcefield that emits static noise for microphone but not for anyone you are speaking with directly.

Whatever I build is FOSS, ideally the device will use a generic ESP32 and some small speakers with the right piezoelectric crystals.

Any pointers or tips welcome

Rubberducky FTW

Realised there is no need for the wearable to generate the frequency when I can just preload recorded sounds at right frequency and have it playback/loop those files.

This project became a lot easier, thanks ducky
