No, I'm not saying that we should delegate responsibilities to the poor souls that come after us. What I'm saying is that we can be superheroes today but that doesn't guarantee that we will do equally great 30 years in the future.
We can't pretend we will be glorious and/or benevolent forever because we are mortal and will finally deteriorate and die. It's even possible that we will become less bold because we care about our relatives and we will be less eager to take risks than we do now.
We must accept ourselves as we are and get out of the way if we are just an obstacle. That is self love and I will never regret doing that when I'm old and my critical thinking skills cease to work properly
