I tend to revert to being a free thinker. I live by my own set of values and morals that may not coincide with any religions, party lines or laws of the land for that matter. I think most people know what is right and what is wrong. If some need a little or a lot of assistance from a book, story or whatever, I have no problem with that as long as it makes them a better person. To each their own, the only certainty is that there is no certainty.
