Uruguay came on my radar at the beginning of the Covaids. And is still on my top 10 GTFO countries. The proximity to a very unstable Argentina is perhaps the biggest draw backs.

I’ve been there for a short bit. I’ve considered it as a possible retirement option even. Nice country, stable. More expensive than most of Latin America but higher level of development. Great meat/grilling culture but curious little tidbit: They don’t salt their food much as they had a prior president that had a big health campaign to reduce sodium. I was told it was actually illegal to put salt or ketchup on the table but I had no problem getting it by asking.
