I think the lack of SSL has pushed me to replace Umbrel. I'm gonna test Start9, see how that goes.

One question though. Can I backup my copy of the blockchain and restore it on my new install of bitcoin core? Any good guides? I'm Linux native so terminal commands are no problem, actually preferred. I've tried searching, but all I get is how to restore a bitcoin wallet backup. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated ⚡👍

They actually make very easy to move from one to the other. Just input creds one one and it will move it for you.

You can migrate from Umbrel LND to Start9 LND with extreme ease. The migration is even now built into Start9. As for the timechain, I would guess it's doable. You'd need to move the Bitcoin data to another drive and then move it back to the new Start9 install.

Yeah that's what I'm looking to do. I've found a little info, it doesn't look too hard.

Copy the blocks, chainstate, and index directories in place on the new install while Bitcoin core is not running, fire it up with my fingers crossed 😂 I have a few days to research as well 👍

Lots of wallets want SSL for electrum connections. It's useless as a node if my wallets don't connect.
