I think it should be ok to leave it. The client you use would attempt to request events from it, but if it’s unreachable after a while it might timeout and show as red or unresponsive. I think this shouldn’t use much bandwidth since it’s only attempting to make the connection but hasn’t received any data. Also, it depends on how often clients connect and disconnect from relays.
