Western governments aren't playing for that team any more. They weren't then either, but most people didn't know.

I just see one giant geopolitical realignment going on right know. The first one since the end of the cold war and way more important in historical terms. And I see "Western" governments right now playing in that team towards a completely closed and centralized system aka "you will own nothing and be happy and we take care of everything for you". The "Eastern" governments are going in the opposite direction. However, time will tell.
