Just packaged up some of my yaupon tea. I've had a few bnb guests ask me for some more after tasting some that i keep at the cabin occasionally. On our property, we have an endless supply of yaupon holly trees, so i read up on them. The tea is the only caffeinated, leaf-based infusion indigenous to the US. The caffeine content is roughly equivalent to the caffeine in green tea. I like to mix in a little bit of peppermint tea with mine, but its tasty on its own. Look around, you mind find yaupon trees near you. You pick and wash the leaves, then roast them on a sheet in oven.
