On the easel today, two canvases opening the quartet SILENCE AMONG THE WAVES.

On the left, THE FIRST SURGE: the moment when the sea holds its breath, before everything begins to move. A tense silence, full of unspoken promises.

On the right, THE BROKEN CREST: the wave that breaks — free and fragile — revealing within its roar another kind of stillness.

Even in a restless sea, there is silence — not the absence of sound, but what remains beneath it, an unmoving depth that no storm can disturb.

The next two paintings will complete this dialogue between light and depth, between what rises and what remains quiet.

For now, I let the waves keep breathing. 🌊

Sometimes painting the sea simply means listening — and realizing that its silence is not so different from our own.
