Maybe I was a bit tongue in cheek, but is there any precedent of any user being charged with anything in the cases that preceded this one (tornado and bitfog)?
AFAIK, users have been so far left out of the courts and Devs have been the target ("Dev" in the case for bitfog). The scare tactics so far have been, don't build this stuff or you'll rot in jail, rather than don't use this or you'll be charged with money laundering.
