Yes. The reasons people do ‘horrific’ things is usually because they were treated badly by society in some way. Continuously treating them badly isn’t the answer. Surrounding them with good people works much better

Possibly. Depends on the crime. People get put into prison for reasons around the world that most reasonable people would thing isn’t a big deal. Highly skilled and one of those? Probably. Steal, Murder or Rape? No.
