I think I'll read Dante's Divine Comedy next.

What book or writer has impacted you most in life?

Hmm it's a good question. I would probably say I keep thinking about the screwtape letters and the cloud of unknowing since I read them. Book of psalms.

Have you read Crime and Punishment? I am currently re-reading it. Wonderful stuff

I really need to re-read the Dostoyevsky I've read cos I read them when I was quite young. And there's a few I've still not read.

I also need to revisit Dickens and read a fair few of his I've not read.

Would recommend reading new ones, I've enjoyed every novel I've read from him, short stories not as much. The Gambler, The Idiot, Demons, Brothers Kamazarov are all great, all quite different IMO

I have read The Gambler, The Brothers k, crime and punishment, the idiot, poor folk and more. All the novels blew me away tbh. The 1800s was a unique time for writing in Russia

I found it too hard to get into, but that was also because its so ancient and I was reading it in English, not my native language. If you find it a worthwile read, I might retry.
