Well, the trails are not always contrails. They are geoengineeing to dim the sun.
This is going on for some years "experimentally" and was recently approved by government.

Try this: anytime you see a remarkable trail behind a plane, try to find that plane on https://fr24.com which tracks all aircraft with a civil transponder.
In the majority of cases they don't show on fr24.com . They are military aircraft.
I tracked a couple of planes in my life. And almost all of them are civil, especially with those kind of trails.
