"The Suitcase: Space Travel -vs- Living in Space"

Space Travel sounds cool

Living in harmony on the moon or Mars? Yeah, we haven't even figured out how to do that on Mother Earth. Literally since we figured out fire, gravity, the wheel.

All the psychos out there? All you need is one nutjob on Mars, who decides to shoot a hole in the impenetrable man man dome.

Any of you outside the US trust everyone in the United States like we don't trust you if you haven't heard of our border wall(s) prototyped after a sieve. Would we only allow certain people/countries on Mars? What documentation or biometrics would be needed to make sure a human was fit to live on Mars? Everyone would have to fight Mark Zuckerberg or Elon?

Contrary to popular notions you may have about the United States. We have nothing wrong here at all, you never hear how we shoot each other, can't feed our hungry, can't end homelessness, or save the ones we love. Or how we have plenty of money to kill people we hate with our wars.

Would we screw up the climate on Mars and have to spend trillions as the 100K different projects to do so on Earth are mismanaged with many of the solutions being worse for the environment? (e.g. Lithium and still saying no to Nuclear Energy?)

Many humans are inherently evil, would there be prisons on Mars or would we just ship them all back to the cesspool known as Earth? (Think "Planet of the Apes" with the Statue of Liberty buried halway in sand.)

Would we need as many plumbers or would we have some cool new way to poop thanks to "The Boring Company"?

What about refuse? Would we make sure all packaging is not just compostable but edible too?

What about our leaders? They would lead all of us as one planet and we would all agree and get along? Would there be election fraud on Mars or Mr. Pillow?

Would Amazon Prime be able to deliver the stuff we really don't need super fast? Would everything be free?

Would we be smarter on Mars? Would we be able to provide a universal Health Care, grow the right crops, be sustainable. Or is it the suitcase analogy my dad taught me about relationships?

Dad to me at 16: "If you are in a relationship, and things are not going well, don't just pack up your suitcase and leave. When you get to the next destination or relationship, you open up that suitcase and all the old problems are still in there."

Ready to go live on Mars or the Moon with me? Let's get the hell out of here, Mother Earth is a real bitch.
