Very few Bitcoiners saw potential in BM till I did in 2018.

Lots of amazing bitcoiners still there.

You may not agree with their position of ordinals but they are def doing their best and do an enormous amount of good for Bitcoin and bitcoiners.

I’m curious if you have any experience building a business or project in Bitcoin? Just curious where you are coming from.

I'm a nobody and I've done nothing.

Word.

I’m just a shit posting pleb who thinks it’s moronic to store jpegs on the blockchain and potentially harmful to clog up the mempool.

Trying to sell people on the idea that one sat is more special than another is a scammy move that separates fools from their money with the speculative hope that they can sell it to a greater fool later. It is not people in it for the tech or appreciation of “art”, it is crypto bros who missed the punk and ape move and hoping for a quick flip in a new market.

Meh on the clogging mempool part.

I agree with you on the second part.

I will however push back on people claiming we need to filter out “bad transactions” to save Bitcoin.

Yeah. If you need censorship to save something then it’s probably not worth saving in the first place.

Damn that hit hard. 🤝

I said clogging up the mempool was potentially harmful. I know the fees suck right now and it is changing some of my personal decisions around transactions. But I also know miners are making a killing and this could possibly add incentives to further develop layer 2 solutions. It’s too soon to know what the market forces will drive due to this and ultimately if it is good or bad.

I never said anything about filtering transactions.

I’m concerned about the bitcoiners who think they can identify and try to expel “bad” transaction types.

Just wait until people start declaring really complex spend condition scripts reflecting complex business interests wasteful. Then legitimate financial transactions will be those that are only p2p between individuals. Once the goal posts can move a little, they can move anywhere.

It seems so obvious. Why is this so complicated Buck?

It’s sad to see so many Bitcoiners which think valid, fee paying transactions are bad and that think high fees must be controlled for.

The human instinct to meddle in markets is very powerful.

It’s not an attack that people want to use your network and are willing to pay a lot to do it. It means we’re winning. Just embrace it and start building.

Failed to zap homie.

Sorry, Zeus Pay🤣 it could be their 10 sat minimum or restrictions if you’re using mutiny

Don’t worry about the zap though - you’re the one I should be zapping; thanks for all the work you do in the space.
