Land is pretty scarce, although you can build high rises and get multiple homes from one piece of property. It’s not, however, fungible, a unit of account, medium of exchange, in short it’s not also money. There’s also reclamation such as happens in Holland or Mumbai which shifts the coastline and makes more land, admittedly a negligible percentage.
