“During the Soviet era, the crosses were bulldozed, but people risked their lives or freedom to sneak past soldiers to erect more crosses. In this way Lithuanians were expressing their national and spiritual feelings.”

The Soviets understood that the state and God are always going to be in opposition of each other. As in many things the Soviets were too harsh which encouraged resistance. Theses days the state is more subtle and seductive but make no mistake the state always sets it self up as a false god. When people put their faith in God and not the state the state becomes weaker. Today we see many falling for the lie that they can take the ring of power (state power) and use it for good. It's a trap. It will corrupt the most pure in heart as it always does.
Put your hope and faith in God. Not false gods.
Sounds like most fake stories about USSR
