Strong agree. IRL meetups are very good.
There's no proof COVID is over, everyone pretending it's over without proof is more like proof it's not, there are other concerns like prions and respiratory fungus, and there's a psychopathic criminal gang called the military industrial complex that tries as hard as they can not to let anyone live in isolation
So now is the time to be around people you need to be around, not random people you're traveling to talk to about shit you could discuss online
Not answering for myself but for many women who would otherwise be interested, knowing they would be the only woman in the room is a big participation barrier.
