The masses aren’t outraged because they were never seeking truth... they were seeking comfort. When the truth burns too bright, they simply turn away and call it a conspiracy. The herd doesn’t want to know what power really does, because that would mean admitting they’re not free. Better to pretend, better to obey. Life goes on... not because nothing happened, but because no one dares to see.
