Balance is the key. I think the best way to learn is just to pay close attention to others and their behaviour. We are always better seeing things in others rather than in ourselves. This is not different regarding emotions.

So to train you'll have to pay close attention and imitate those who have responsible and mature emotional reactions and avoid those who have immature and impulsive emotional reactions.

Self control is the goal and its a constat training and learning process.

It's a matter of developing your emotional intelligence while being logical and rational. If you do the first one without the second one you become a new ager retard. Balance is key.
