digging through my records recently and I stumbled across my first job contract; I worked a couple months seasonally at a Toys R Us
my wage was £5.07/hour
this was 2005, I had just turned 17
after Googling the current minimum wage in the UK, I was appalled
the “National ‘Living’ (lmfao) Wage” for:
- over-23s: £10.42
- 21-22: £10.18
- *18-20: £7.49*
kids today are making 47.73% more than I did…**18 years ago**
this represents an annual increase rate of just 2.2%
