There's always these new video platforms popping up that seems to be growing the latest tokyvideo. I think people do seek a less prying eye of takedowns. Similar to a dailymotion alt rather than a YouTube alt. I think that is imaginable. Maybe? It would mean not having a landing page which was taken up half by an ad for bitcoin tho lol ( flare.pub lol)

Yeah they can exist but they’ll never compete at YouTube scale. And we don’t have anyone who thinks like a business. Terrible app names, half page banner ads - like you say 😜

I love the idea that it doesn’t need to compete at scale. What if it’s more protocol than “app”. Think like, I host my videos on my domain and relay, and the only “related videos” shown (if any) are ones I curate / approve. Imagine it more like browsing through curated collections of videos

The cool thing being that you could have profit sharing of any zaps. So I could get 10% just building collections that help people discover stuff

From my experience nostr curation sucks. Anyone can spam you at any time with all sorts of weird crap and then you’re on the hook.

That’s what I’m saying, make it a whitelisted curation by the creator. Ie Their job to tend the garden around their own content.

Techpump Solutions lol..just looked it up again. Sounds quite scammy lol
