Really like to do the same to get rid of the porn. Just not sure how to go about knowing which relays to drop? How did you go about it?

I use nostros personally. Except for when I want to view a thread that was reposted, then I'll go to amethyst.

So nostros shows you which relays a note came from and so just remove relays that showed you what you don't like.
It also has control over which relays deliver global notes specifically since you may still want certain relays to see what your contacts are posting
