I handled a lot of personal CJD-related stuff two days ago.

(I’m the one in the family who chose this path, yes, we’ve lost 3 family members to it).

Then, this came out an hour or so later… The synchronicity of it all… 🤯

The takeaways here:

1. For Dr. Appleby to say it’s hard not to get excited about treatments with the families, that’s huge.

(Personally haven’t seen him excited ever. Haven’t seen any of these people get excited in nearly 20 years).

2. The optimism that we solve prion disease…then use this solution on Alzheimer’s and ALS…

I can’t put that into words yet. 🥹

Give it 10 more years and the world will look different for us ALL.
