I dunno, I zap at my discretion.
i mean for nostr as a wh'O'lE*/*ya
idk if there are statz 4 th@
Me neither. But I don't fully understand what you mean by the baseline zap reply tho.
average action for zap responses network wide - nostr} notes%, gifs %, requotes %, news articles bot & or not%, software & dev zaps recieved}general break - down
It's doable. I'm just putting off making stuff until I finish softwar.
At least, it would be hard to do network wide, but within a web of trust is easier. Extended web of trust aggregation are theoretical in my head. I'd need to do the first thing first.
WoT seems to limit access, atm, wen i tried IT & th@ IZ not ideal imho/i'm still processing tho so there IZ th@ bro*/* wdyt
The way it's implemented now isn't great imo. Just using follow lists/block lists that is.
If you were to count your interactions with others and vice versa into an engagement balance and have one for each connection you have, I think that would be a better method for collecting the npubs in your de facto WoT. I've done the draft of the event store that would enable that. But the rest is just sitting in my noggin.
t Y Jay/* have *U* looked @vinney's stuff?
i scrolled for a note & will get back 2 *U*nostr:npub10mtatsat7ph6rsq0w8u8npt8d86x4jfr2nqjnvld2439q6f8ugqq0x27hf
I remember seeing it, but I didn't actually look 👀
I’m eager to see you make more progress!
I’m making good progress on my personal WoT relay. Baseline trust scores depend mostly on follows (with some dependence on mutes and reports), but more algos will be incorporated; having multiple ways to calculate trust scores is the idea.
Same! I'm just blocked by my need to finish the softwar audiobook because its mind worm is lodged in my brain right where the code writing bit is. Webs of Trust are a power projection technology in cyberspace, so I want to fully understand the only book that examines that subject before I continue. Zaps and their effect on trust make for an interesting case study.
I think I have that book on a shelf somewhere along with 20 other books in the freedom tech space, all on my to-read list lol. I hadn’t heard Jason talk about WoT but I’d be curious to know how deeply he’s thought about it
Even though he doesn't call out Web of Trust specifically, the two theories of Power Projection Theory and Softwar are designed to be the starting point for things like working out how WoT could be calculated in a non-exploitable way.
The first step off his thesis towards that is just to base WoT calculations on proof of physical power and to avoid hypostatization risk.
btw i only tried 2 WoT relays/*
Did you find them useful? Still use them?
s'O' i already follow *U* & wen i have time i will look @ your setuPnostr:npub1u5njm6g5h5cpw4wy8xugu62e5s7f6fnysv0sj0z3a8rengt2zqhsxrldq3
