Venerable John Iacob the Romanian, after serving in Romanian monasteries, journeyed to the Holy Land and lived as a hermit in the wilderness of the Jordan. He later resided at the Monastery of Saint George the Hozevite, dedicating himself to prayer, writing, and caring for the sick. Despite his desire for solitude, his wisdom and holiness drew many to him. He reposed in 1960, and his relics were later found to be incorrupt.

Holy #FatherJohn, intercede for us to #God! May his example of devotion inspire us all. #Holiness #OrthodoxSaints #RomanianOrthodox
