Some people hike for the sights. Some because they love nature. Some because they say it brings them closer to God.

I hike for all these reasons and none of them:

I love the sights, but the experience of sights is incomplete without involving all our senses.

I love nature, which is why I prefer not to separate myself from it with artificial barriers draped over my body.

I do believe the mountain brings me closer to God, and I only go before Him as He created me.
