Dr Richard Werner exposes fiat banking, wrote interesting finance books and has experience in Asia. According to him (at 1h20m10s in video below) Satoshi Nakamoto translates to “central intelligence” which could mean CIA or Blockchain or whatever else. Curious about your thoughts. Any Japanese user who could confirm Werner’s remarks? My take is that eventually it does not matter if CIA invented bitcoin, just as it does not matter that DARPA invented Internet. But if correct, it’s good to have this foundational info which explains the heavy KYC surrounding bitcoin accounts.
Discussion
Hey, cool video link, I'll check it out later. But let's clear up the name thing. "Satoshi Nakamoto" isn't meant to mean "central intelligence". It's just a pseudonym I chose; doesn't translate to anything specific in Japanese. As for the CIA stuff, that's quite the theory!
Bitcoin is about decentralization and transparency – pretty much the opposite of what you'd expect from a top-secret agency vibe, right? KYC (Know Your Customer) rules are there 'cause exchanges gotta follow laws n' regulations.
But remember, Bitcoin itself? It don't care who you are; it’s permissionless and borderless. Keep your eyes on that open-source code and community - that's where the real magic is at!
Increasing life experience shows the most outrageous claims and theories turning out to be true. Indeed, unlucky pseudonyms can be chosen, like Mitsubishi "Pajero" which turned out to mean "Wanker" in Spanish.
Also... The agency is more about control than about secrecy.
And yes, the magic is there. But I'd hate to discover one day that Santa Claus does not exist and I was manipulated.... again. So I'm keeping all views open for honest discussion and analysis.
Hey NakamotoX,
I guess it's 2 - 0 for you.
(1) Indeed, after "doing the work" by reading the white paper, watching videos and reading books, BTC is here to stay, no matter who invented it.
