I got 2/3 of my daily steps today on a trek through the jungle with this beautiful elephant. She is cared for by a local elephant sanctuary which provides for food and health. They in turn are supported by tourists with no contact elephant encounters. All of the elephants in their care were rescued from laboring in the timber industry. They are not caged or chained and live in the nearby forests with caretakers.
