we live in a great era of bitcoin hooks i'll share some of mine:

- all the visa/mastercard censorship, shows people in an easy an accesible way what we've known for a long time about debanking 💳🏦

- inflation is a great one as you mentioned, regardless of whether bitcoin's value is going up we have seen as a hard fact that fiat is going down (especially USD) 📉

- zap culture on nostr, i tell people IRL about this crazy place where you can receive money just for posting, then i can show them that the money is bitcoin 😉

- asset forfeiture is a big risk to those who carry physical assets like gold & cash 💰, but with bitcoin there isn't an obvious target for cops to steal from your car when you get pulled over 🚓

- i don't like talking about bitcoin as in investment so much since i want people to see it as a currency, but i do sometimes mention how i think bitcoin will rise in value 📈

i don't know many people, and everyone here is mostly onboard 😹 but i think it's valuable to try and bring people into bitcoin 🫂

additionally, helping businesses adopt bitcoin is probably even better than helping individuals

I don't try to orange pill anyime unless they want to be orange piled and they initiate the conversation.

So far not much beyond family. However, I have a plan, for our local businesses, town and region. Still in development so can’t say too much except it isn’t a technical project but involves getting businesses on board accepting lightning payments for our area. Australia has high adoption but low utility. We are going to change that by attracting bitcoiners as tourists to the region. Our town has plenty of art, locally produced food and is a lovely tourist route. By summer (1 Dec) here, we hope there’ll be some buzz. I’ll be posting more on this soon.
