Zuck credits the secret to their success, in making people have a real identity. And providing a first name and a last name. While nostr will always have a public sqaure for anonymous IDs. There's something to be said for interacting with people and communties that you know, while having the freedom to control who sees what.

Facebook v1 soured me to that whole centralized experience and I stopped using it in 2016, but as a user, I would probably give it another try here.
