But then that allows us to become closer with Gaia and the earth and trees and the plants and the ocean - my new friends - have I gone too far ? ;)

I enjoy being alone tbh. I like my own company. I find being in large crowds to be painful.
Solitude feels like I am growing spiritually with God.
Loneliness can be experienced not just when you are alone but even when you have hundreds of friends. Usually because they lack a spiritual connection to God.

I know from personal experience. I had lots of friends in school and had lots of drinking buddies at college. But it seemed the more I socialised and partied the lonelier I felt. The classic atheist hedonist lifestyle I lived til I realised God is real.
